Mileage rates in Ireland
Ireland uses the civil service motor travel rates, which depend on engine size and on how far you have already driven this year, so there is no single figure to apply. Take your rate from the Revenue table. Electric vehicles use the 1,201-1,500cc rates.

How a claim is worked out
Take 1,800 kilometres of business travel in Ireland. The bands apply in order, so each one is charged at its own rate rather than the whole distance at the top rate.
